BioHelix Corporation was awarded
two NIH grants to develop new HDA technologies.
|
| BioHelix
announced today that it was awarded two
independent Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) grants
from the National Institutes of Health. One of the grants will
support the development of a novel HDA technology that is under investigation.
The new HDA system allows isothermal amplification of target sequences
at room temperature. The second award funds the second phase
of our ongoing research to develop an isothermal HDA system for long
range targets. Current HDA systems robustly amplify sequences
of 200 bp in size; the long-range HDA platform being investigated
will allow the amplification of targets of 2 – 3 kb in size.
The SBIR awards will enable BioHelix to continue developing innovative
isothermal amplification tools for use in research and diagnostics.
