Research Associate

BioHelix Corporation was founded in 2004 by scientists from New England Biolabs. Located in Beverly Massachusetts, BioHelix's mission is to improve the quality of healthcare through the development of simple molecular diagnostic tests for the near patient setting, wherein rapid solutions are necessary for prompt medical intervention (for more info please visit our web www.biohelix.com. We are looking for a highly motivated Research Associate to join our R&D and Production groups. Working under the direction of Senior Scientists, this position is available immediately.

Responsibilities:

- Participate directly in various production activities including packaging, labeling, data-card generation, and QC/QA testing.
- Supporting diagnostic assay development activities including assay optimization, integration, verification and validation.
- Performing various experiments including isothermal DNA amplification and PCR.

Qualifications:

The candidate is expected to have B.S. degree with at least two-years of laboratory experience, or M.S. degree in life sciences of one or more of the following scientific disciplines: Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, other related majors.
Qualified candidate shall meet the following specific requirements:

- Demonstrate a strong work ethic, emphasizing both efficiency and quality of work.
- Multi-tasking and team player.
- Good knowledge in molecular biology and nucleic acid amplification.
- Sound analytical and communication skills for analyzing data and writing reports.
