BioHelix has commercialized two isothermal DNA amplification technologies, HDA and pWGA. These novel amplification technologies depend on the DNA-unwinding activity of an enzyme called a Helicase. Helicase may be useful in a variety of applications, therefore we have made our helicases available to the research communuty for in vitro use only.

• Isolated from a strain of E. coli carrying the cloned helicase gene from a thermophilic bacterium.
• Unwinds double-stranded DNA.
• Optimal temperature for activity: 45 - 65ºC

• Isolated from a E. coli strain carrying the cloned gp4 gene from T7.
• Highly processive replicative helicase that forms a hexameric ring.
• Active at a temperature ranging from 25 to 37ºC.
